Day 6 Emo Ontario, 30 km west of Fort Frances...no room at the Inn - Pics updated Aug 29

2132  km so far:
We had a great drive yesterday with many interesting stops, although it turned out to be a longer day than we expected. Since we arrived at International Falls, Minn (at the border) early, we decided to take a scenic drive east along the shore to the Rainy River area to get accomodation for the night.

Hours later, after not being able to get a room, we made the decision to cross the border and get a room in Fort Frances. No rooms there either. After driving a further 30kms to Emo, we finally got a room for the night. After dinner, we walked to the nearby local Fair where we took in the sights of beef cattle, horses, sheep, rabbits and the midway. We're planning to head back this morning for a pancake breakfast and then, we'll be on our way to the Lake of the Woods area.
